Gorgeous Gardens

7 May

Re-use old tires for an easy DIY project and a fun pop of colour in your backyard.

This weekend it definitely felt official, spring is here and before we know it, summer will be in full force. All of the trees seem to have magically come to life in the last week, and everywhere you look things are in bloom. While we don’t have a backyard, we do have a very small patio, and I have been gathering research on what might be able to thrive in the minimal space we have. During my research, I have of course come across endless inspiration for gardening, and while most of these won’t be a reality for us this year, I couldn’t resist sharing, since I am sure lots of you are planning to work on your gardens in the next couple of weeks. Which one is your favourite? What are you doing with your gardens this year?

Raised boxes for lettuces, herbs etc. if you have the space

Smaller spaces can still accommodate some garden boxes, making it both functional and attractive

Click to see the before and after, it is so impressive, and I love the use of wild grasses for a natural feel

Obviously not your average back yard, but on a smaller scale with all the beautiful colours would still be great!

Some of the most beautiful gardens I have seen are from British Columbia – here is a perfect example, so many touches to draw inspiration for your space
