Anyone who knows me well, knows that when the Olympics are on, I have a very hard time focusing on much else. I love getting swept up in all the wonderful stories of the athletes, the amazing competition, and of course our patriotic pride. Now this post is extremely biased, so I do apologize to my wonderful readers outside Canada, but I can’t help but show some Canadian love with the Olympics a mere 10 days away! Whether you plan on just catching the daily highlights, or hunkering down for as many events as possible like me, I thought it might be helpful to see some of the fun ways you can show your Canadian pride when the Olympics officially begin July 27th.
I am loving the retro inspired t-shirts for each event, and of course it wouldn’t be the olympics with our red mittens…..although I don’t think they will be worn during the actual olympics this time around. Check out The Bay for their full official Canadian Olympic gear collection, and I would love to know how you show your Canadian spirit during the games!
On a more fashion related note, it is so interesting to see more and more designers getting involved in the games, for example Stella McCartney has designed the uniforms for Great Britain (see them here) and Ralph Lauren has once again designed the outfits for the United States (check them out here). I wonder what the next great collaboration will be?

I love the Olympics, but tend to follow the winter more than the summer. It’s just a fun time when everyone feels united and we all have something in common. The Bay has some fabulous Olympic gear, but my local Bay is already sold out of most of the stuff! Everyone better get it quickly!
