As I was compiling my October top 5 picks, I realized two things, one – this is my second top five picks for October, meaning we are almost at the one year mark for this little blog (time flies) and two – I love all the clothes out this time of the year. It is so much fun to get some new pieces as we go into the colder months that work with what you already have, and set you up for the next few months, including the holidays. I am still loving peplum’s and peter pan collar’s, and this pretty top above incorporates both perfectly, I couldn’t resist it on trip to Top Shop this weekend. Some crop wool trousers are the perfect solution to this in-between weather and a cape is at the top of my list instead of a traditional coat as we move into the colder months.

I just love the very first top. Adorable. I almost bought a trench coat that was a cape style last year from BR and am kind of regretting it now.
