It has been awhile since I have featured some home inspiration on here, so when I was approached to feature this fun guest post, it seemed like perfect timing. I have never lived in a place completely alone, so sadly I think I missed out on my chance to unabashedly go all out with some girly decor. However, I do think there is always an opportunity to incorporate some colour into your life, and while pink might not be the first colour you gravitate towards, as Joanna from Arcadian Home shows here, there are so many great combinations to consider.
PS ~ I am completely in love with those pink armchairs in image 6, which is your favourite?

Hi, everyone. It’s Joanna here from Arcadian Home blog, a fantastic place to find lots of interior design inspiration for using decorative accessories and an array of light fixtures from fabulous foyer lighting to ornate wall sconces. I’m so happy to be guest posting here at Lilies, Lattes & Lace. What a great blog name!
To inspire your design dreams, I’ve pulled together eight images of pink rooms. From subtle to brilliant—they all look so pretty in pink. Enjoy!

Pastel pink on the walls and an even paler shade on the ceiling give this living room a lovely glow. A black and white photographic art gallery creates a nice contrast against the pink wall. And, just for fun a quirky cowhide stool has been added across the room.

Pink on the front door and on the walls of a raised entryway gives way to a mostly white living room. The washed gray and white checkerboard floor is lovely, as are the full pink draperies and white slip-covered lounge.

These pink walls and stair risers are not for the timid of heart, but what a wonderful hue it is. This space definitely makes a bold and confident color statement.

Pink might not always be the first color choice for a kitchen, however this contemporary design just might change a few minds. I love everything about this space, but the modern pendant lights in pale pink immediately captured my attention.

How pretty is this traditional dining room? Pink and pale yellow make for a lovely color combination. The large-scale floral pattern on the chairs and the lovely pink and white oversize plaid draperies are wonderful feminine design elements.

Bright pink and white fabric on the twin arm chairs brings a bit of global style to this neutral living room with pops of turquoise. The glass ceiling light adds a touch of glamour.

This soft pink bedding is beautiful—just the right mix of classic tailored lines and soft feminine motifs. The crystal chandelier is perfect, but a simple glass pendant light would also be pretty in this pink space.

A black and white bath is most certainly pretty in pink—just the right amount of pink. I love the medium pink hue chosen for the ceiling. With that and just two other pops of pink—a hand towel and a small bouquet of fresh flowers, the space is perfect. Images 1 | 2 | 3 | 4 | 5 | 6 | 7 | 8
