Christmas Table Settings

table settings replace

Sleek with a pop of colour

By this point in the holiday season you are probably knee-deep in Christmas dinners. However, the big day is still ahead, so while we are lucky enough to get to be the visitors this holiday season instead of the hosts (although I can’t wait for the day we wake up at home on Christmas) I loved looking at all these gorgeous table settings for some ideas. I noticed that the second you put some ornaments anywhere on the table, it instantly feels more festive, and I love how many gorgeous settings I found in literally every colour scheme out there.

How do you like to do up your table for holiday dinner?

Holidays At Home

Classic Monogrammed Stockings to hang by the fire (Pottery Barn)

Everyone has unique traditions around when they put up their Christmas lights, decorate their house and pick out their tree. For me, December 1st has always marked the date that we get everything out and decorate for the holidays, and the tree usually follows 2 weeks later. Since December 1st happens to be this weekend, I am getting so excited to bring out the decorations and get into the holiday spirit. We don’t have a ton of space for decorating, so I like to try to maximize what we already have and make it take on a Christmas spin. These beautiful glitter twigs are the perfect touch to fill our vases around the house and since we don’t have the space for a large tree, these winter wonderland trees are the perfect way to add some winter beauty to our place. For Christmas stockings, I love traditional red and white , and these ones you can even get monogrammed for each special person who will be with you on Christmas morning!

What do you like to decorate with for the holidays?

Fall at Home

Something as simple as filling a glass vase with pumpkins can bring fall inside in no time

I actually haven’t had a chance to do a proper switch of either my wardrobe or our decor for fall yet, but I can’t wait to get through everything next week. In the meantime, I found one quick and easy way to bring fall into our house was to pick up some mini pumpkins and gourds at the grocery store, and it immediately feels more like fall! I was also thinking about some other ways to bring fall into your house with little expense and lots of impact, so here are some suggestions you might want to try out this weekend.

Have you done the fall switch of your wardrobe or house yet? (ps – click any of the photos below to see more)

Makeup Storage Solutions

Makeup Storage Solutions

A little while ago I mentioned I had figured out what my next home project would be and it included revamping our current spare room into a great area to get ready in. I showed you a bunch of my ideas for creating the perfect vanity space, and now with fall approaching we are ready to start to make an actual plan for the room. In the meantime, I have been trying to organize and purge the space, so that I actually know what I have and want to keep. This included an overhaul of my makeup collection, which was nothing short of liberating, since it was clear I hadn’t done this in a few years when I took a closer look at some of the eyeshadow palettes I had lying around.

So now, with all of my make up cleaned up and streamlined, I am on the hunt for the perfect storage containers and display pieces. Above are a bunch of the inspirations I have rounded up, but would love to hear what you do at home. Do you have a super organized piece like the one featured above, or do you stick with a tray to keep everything contained? Have you ever tried the coffee beans for storage? Because it looks kind of amazing to me!
