Well needless to say, it has been awhile. I apologize again for the radio silence this past month (really the past 2 and a half) but life has been busy, fun and exciting, and I think I just needed a little break from the blogosphere. Sadly, I don’t think I will be able to get back to my regular posting schedule any time soon, but I am looking forward to getting back here a lot more often and sharing some of the fun and happy things that have been going on, and of course some of the fun new outfits I have been dying to share.
This blouse for example has become an easy summer go to, and while this skirt is three years old (and also seen here, and here), I still love wearing it on a regular basis. What have you been wearing in your summer rotation lately? Any favourite finds like this blouse you have discovered and can’t get enough of?
Sometimes you wear an outfit that just makes you feel good from head to toe. That was definitely the case with this outfit. Funny enough, I had originally taken the grey and blue version of this shirt into the change room, but felt like it was too casual for me, and had already written it off. Then the salesgirl found this one for me, last one in the store, in my size, and it fit perfectly, and somehow I felt like the black and white dressed it up just enough that I felt perfectly put together in it. I wish you could feel how soft the fabric is, it is seriously the most comfy shift I own, and I love any excuse to throw on my white jeans, so I think I may have just found a new weekend uniform.

Sometimes you find an item that you know you will wear a lot. That is the case with everything I am wearing in this outfit. I find I am constantly reaching for this black and white silk blouse because it makes any outfit polished but it is still interesting. I am completely in love with the fit, length and neutral colour of this skirt, and have already worn it a couple times since I picked it up. The most recent piece here are these amazing heels, which I spotted over on one of my fellow canadian bloggers here, and lucked out to find the very last pair in the store in my size a couple weeks ago. The ankle strap is always a favourite with me, and the wider heel makes these sandals comfy for an entire work day, definitely making them winners in my book.

I bought this skirt back in the fall when I was dying to add a fall coloured maxi to my wardrobe (see winter styling here). However, I think I like it even better now that the warm weather is finally here. This outfit is exactly how I like to feel on a summer night, relaxed yet still a little bit pulled together. I had never thought to tie some of my boyfriend fit shirts at the waist before, but realized this is a great way to mix and match the pieces I already have, and give an outfit a nice, relaxed, summer feel.
